These businesses include Otto’s Pub and Brewery, Barrel 21 Distillery & Dining, Keewaydin Cider Mill, Otto’s Soda Shop, and A.V. Farms. My role at C&D started as a graphic designer and marketing assistant and turned into a Lead Designer role over the course of 3 years.
It started with a rebrand
Chalkboard ILLUSTRATION-INSPIRED beer labels
The existing beer labels were designed when Otto’s Pub & Brewery first opened in 2002. In 2021 they got a rebrand that just keeps on expanding.
Inspired by the colorful chalkboards hanging inside the restaurant, simple line illustrations depict the watersheds, flavors, and history that the beer alludes to.
Many labels have been adapted to different sizes and formats, including 12 and 16-oz cans, 12 and 6-pack carriers, t-shirts and other apparel, and tap handles.
