Movin’ On is Penn State’s annual Student-Run Music Festival, one of the top 5 largest student music festivals in the country. The festival has been around for almost 50 years. For the 2022-23 academic year, I served as Design Director and Photography Director. Holding this position meant I had the opportunity to guide the look and feel of the May 2023 festival, with performances by J.I.D, Coin, Neon Trees, UPSAHL, and student band Mellow Honey.

This year’s festival was inspired by analog sound & technology. The festival hosted 5 acts, letting you get the experience of each band in one awesome free night of music. We wanted to use concert tickets to bring you back to the days of print, where you get a perfect memento for your scrapbook or bulletin board. Additionally, I arranged to use 35mm film in the pit when photographing, to get a true analog feel with imagery.
